A new desk in the control room

The Audient console in the control room was installed in 2007 and had carried a decade of teaching on the undergraduate and postgraduate courses, as well as the pilot project sessions. By the end of 2016 it needed more attention than it was worth.
While the team were deciding what to do, Bryn Wildish of Audient wrote to ask whether he could come and look round the studio. He came, the conversation turned practical, and after talking it over with Tony the decision was to retire the old desk and put in an ASP8024 Heritage Edition.
The new console went in at the start of February 2017. Thanks to Audient for their help with it.
